This weekend

....was a great one. We started off not having many plans and ended up doing a whole lot. Friday night we met up with Danny's family to celebrate my SIL's bday. I didn't take any pics but we went to Salt Grass and had a good time. Molly was out past her bedtime and didn't seem to mind so that was good.

Saturday we slept in until 8:30am!!! Woohoo, granted we were up at 5am feeding her but hey I haven't slept until 8:30am in a long time so I will take it. :) We just hung out in the morning and then ventured out in the afternoon. Started out shopping but then that was a bust because I couldn't find what I was looking for so we ended up going out to my parents to hang out. They recently redid their pool so we had to get in and check it out! It was Molly's first time to swim and I think we might have a little swimmer on our hands. She just splashed around and enjoyed herself. I knew she would like it because she likes bath time so much. I hope it stays that way because both of our parents have pools so I am seeing a lot of swimming in Molly's future.

Here is the front of my swimsuit
And here is the back. I know it is pretty cute!

This is a HUGE bathtub!

Watch me swim!

Sunday was the only day where we had plans. We signed up to march for babies in the March of Dimes walk. We walked with a bunch of my co-workers on the Pavilion for Women team. I was a little nervous because I had no idea how she would do on a 5 mile walk but she did great. We started out in the stroller where she slept then near the end she had a little blow out, so we changed clothes and carried on in the Baby Bjorn. It was a lot of fun. After that, we had lunch at Dickie's, which is great bbq and that says a lot if I think it is great because I am not the biggest bbq fan. Then came home and took a nice long nap!

We did it!
I'm sassy and I know it

Walking 5 miles wore me plum out!

It was a great weekend!!!

Rolling over

That's right, Molly decided today was the day that she was going to roll over all by herself! She went from belly to back (yes, she was sleeping on her belly because she just sleeps so much better but she only does this for naps). So, let me lay it out for you. She woke up this morning at 6am so I got up, we played, she ate and then went right back to sleep around 6:45am. So around 8:30am when I was leaving for work she was still asleep so I went in her room to get a last look before I left. She was stirring so I just sat there and watched her for a little bit because let’s be honest, I could do that all day long. Anyway, she was tucking her knees up under her and turning on her side. Now, she has done this before so I didn’t really think she was going to turn over but low and behold on the fourth try she flipped herself over. Throughout this whole time her eyes were shut and she was talking to herself so I am guessing she was half asleep, half awake. Well, when she turned over she opened her eyes in a hurry, looked around with a confused look on her face and still not seeing me she gave herself a HUGE grin like she knew she accomplished something big. Then I got all excited with a high pitched voice, scared her I am sure, and we had a little celebration. It was a great way to start my day! Of course I didn’t get any of it on video or any pictures so here are some random pictures from today.

Time for a photo dump

And that is exactly what it is...

Um, you are a little close mom.

Yeah, I hang out with my mom like this. I'm pretty sure you're jealous.

Whatchu lookin at?

Aunt Nenna said it best "Am I sucking in enough or can you still see my rolls?!?"

This is how much I love bathtime. Even if it is a makeshift one at Lolli and Pops

Just hanging out with my Great Mawmaw

Hi!

Can I help you?

I am lookin cute and ready to go!

This driver is a little crazy! Must hold on!!!

This says what?!?

I am kinda a rock star at tummy time

Oh Aunt Nenna you make a great pillow

Just chillin, watchin the world go by

Ode to my Keurig

What would I do without you. Kay and Gary bought me this magical machine for my birthday and I don't know how I functioned before. Molly got me a coffee stand and extra coffee cups because she said I would need it since I was going back to work and she likes to hang out in the middle of the night. It has turned into a little rituale every morning. On my way out the door I make my coffee in no time at all and drink it on the way to work. Oh it is delicious and oh so fast which is what I need when I have a little one. Now, I will say I deeply miss the aroma of freshly brewed coffee but I will take the ease of the Keurig for now. AND there is no clean up at all which I appreciate. So thank you Kay and Gary - you have made my mornings better and you didn't even know it.

And here is a pic of Molly for good measure.

Good golly Miss Molly - You are 3 months

3 months I say! You are growing up so fast (which I say every month). We don't go to the doctor this month so I don't have any stats but here are some Molly tidbits from momma. Interesting side notes: it is Friday the 13th again (you were born on one). There are 3 of them this year and we will be celebrating every one of them. ☺

• You just graduated to size 2 diapers and they seem huge on you but you are in the weight range and you had so many blow outs in size 1.
• You are wearing 3-6 month clothing
• You are drinking about 4.5 ounces at each feeding and you are still eating every 3 hours.
• Your sleeping patterns have regressed from last month. We now put you to bed around 7:30pm and you are waking up twice during the night. Once between 1-2am and then again at 3:30-4:30am.
• You are still swaddled but you kept busting your arms out in the middle of the night and since you are so close to turning over we don’t swaddle your arms anymore. Daddy wants to because he thinks you might sleep longer but I am scared you will turn over in the night and not have your arms to help you.
• I went back to work this month and it has been hard but like I have said in previous posts you are in really good hands. I get pictures of you throughout the day to keep me going. ☺ Thanks grandmas!
• You take 3-4 naps a day depending on what is going on. You usually get one good, long nap in there lasting about 2 hours.
• You still love bath time. We recently took you out of the infant sling in the bathtub and put you in the big girl tub with more water and you LOVE it. You just sit there, dip your hand in the water then it goes straight in your mouth for the rest of the bath. But it doesn’t stop you from talking or smiling, you just do it with fingers in your mouth. I can’t wait until we can get you in that pool! I think you will love it.
• You are so close to rolling over from back to belly. You have done it a couple times but on a couch cushion. You can’t do it on the floor or bed but you are oh so close. Today you surprised me because I put you on your belly and you almost turned over from belly to back. Soon enough and then you can choose to sleep on your belly which will make you and your momma happy because you will sleep more sound.
• Your eyes are getting to be a lighter and lighter blue. They are so big and pretty.
• You still have a really good temperament. Sometimes you cry really hard but that is few and far between, maybe once a week or every two weeks but that is usually because you are off schedule and just really tired.
• You are growing more hair but you still rock your duck feathers and still have a major bald spot on the back of your head from looking all around.
• You love being outside. I think you would be out there all day if you could. You just like to look around and smell the fresh air and feel the breeze. Sorry to say Molly but that breeze won’t last for much longer.
• When you wake up you are all smiles. Sometimes you have nap face and just need some cuddles but then all smiles. It is lovely!

Molly Grace, you are my little sunshine. I love you so much! Life just keeps getting better and better with you in it. You make mommy and daddy laugh so much with all the little things that you do. Even though I am exhausted in the morning, when I hear you talking to yourself in your crib letting me know you are awake I can’t wait to see you so I can get that big smile. It starts my day off right. It tugs at my heartstrings like nothing else. I don’t know what I am going to do about that when you are older and doing things you are not supposed to be doing.

Here are some outtake photos that make me laugh.

Oh, so you want me to pose for these pics? I can totally do that, I am a good actress. What do you think about this face?

Or maybe you want my "hold the phone - what!?!" face

No? Maybe my "it's cold in here" face?

Hold on - gotta give a shout out to Daddy

OMG Daddy that was funny

Ok, back to work. What about my chilled out face?

Now you move me to the chair to take more pics? This is getting ridiculous.

Ok - I will give you a smile

I think I am almost done doing this mom

Yeah, I am done

Seriously - you are still taking pictures

Fine but I am outta here!

He is Risen!

He is risen indeed! I love Easter and everything that it means. This year Easter was a bit chaotic only because it was the first time we took Molly to church and dropped her off in the nursery. She looked so cute in her smocked dress and little shoes. Let me back up a little bit. We started the festivities on Saturday where Danny's extended family gets together for lunch at the ranch. It is a nice time for everyone to catch up and watch the kids play. Molly will be running around that place in no time. This year she just wanted to sleep at the ranch. After the ranch we headed to my parents house for some egg dying. Molly slept through that as well. ha!

Sunday, like I said, we headed to church. It was a miracle we made it to the early service! After church we walked around for a little bit showing her off to everyone then we came home to take our long nap for the day. Then we headed over to my parents again for an Easter lunch. After the first 5 minutes of being there Molly decided it was time to have a blow out on Great Grandma so we had to change into her backup outfit which was a little onsie my friend Erin bought her - I love NY. Then it was home, bath and bed. It was another good day but I think Molly will be glad when she gets back on her schedule this week because I think we exhausted the poor girl this weekend.

My mom was wearing this hat to church today and I love it. I might have to go buy it well. I feel so southern wearing it.
