Pumpkin Patch #2

So, today we headed out to the patch in efforts of taking a great family picture. My mom was gracious enough to come out and take the photos for us, so all we needed was a cooperative baby. It went a little somethin like this....

L: Just smile
D: Molly, look at the camera
M: Pictures again....

M: I am not doing it.

L: Tickle, tickle Molly

M: Yeah, that is not going to work.

M: ahhhhhhh

M: What am I supposed to do on here?!?

M: Now you stick me in a wagon. Give me a break.

M: What did you say? You will give me a puff???

M: OK - I will cheer up for that.

L: This one is gonna be it. This is going to be great family picture, I can feel it.
M: Oh, maybe this would be good to eat.

L: Gross Molly, don't eat the pumpkin.
D: Are we taking a picture now?
M: Yeah....I don't want to eat this. It doesn't taste so good.

L: If we keep smiling maybe she will come back.
D: So not gonna happen.
M: Peace out mom and dad. I gotta go find me some more pumkins.

L: Let's try standing up.
M: Did I like this last time? I am gonna try it again.

L: It's gonna work, it's gonna work, this will be the one.
M: Nope, still don't like it.

L: Oh no, this isn't going to work for much longer.
M: I think I dropped my puff.

M: Oh, what is over there?

L: OK, Molly, we can do this. We have to look at the camera though.
M: What is going on over there?

L: We are getting there....

L: BAM! Even though she isn't looking at the camera. I will take it!
M: Daddy, you are crazy!

L: One more try as a family.
D: Just smile
M: Mom, I am looking at the camera and you are the only one that isn't.

M: Get this thing off me!

L: We are so done.
D: I think we need to be done Lauren.
M: It's gone.

This was the winner. It was the best one that we took. I have no idea what I am about to say in this pic to make me have a half smile but we are going with it.

My Little Picasso

We had some spare time the other day and I decided to try a little painting. I made some homeade finger paints (sugar, corn startch, water and food coloring) and got busy.

Molly helping me put together her painting palette.
Going to check out her colors.
What?!? Mom said I could do this.
As you can see everything still goes in her mouth.
The finished product. We went for abstract art.

Great Day!

Oh Molly Grace we had a great day today. You woke up a little early (6:30am) and we ate, played and then took a nap from 9-10:45am. Once you woke up Aunt Nenna was came over and we headed out to Target. We were all smiles the whole time.
Once we got done there we headed to Chick-fil-a for a little lunch. Now that you are eating solids I decided to give you a little peice of my nugget. Well, you ate the first bite ok but then the second you kept chewing and chewing and chewing until eventually you gagged and threw it all up in the middle of Chick-fil-a and all over Aunt Nenna. But once you got it out you were back to normal and ready to go again.
After that we made a quick trip to the grocery store then headed home to take a little nap. While you were sleeping we put away all your old clothes that you can't fit into anymore.....so sad....you are getting so big!

Once you woke up we played a little more, Aunt Nenna left, and we decided to take advatange of the hot weather and wear our bikini one last time. I had an empty tub, since I cleaned all her clothes out, and we filled it up with water and had a little fun in the sun. I got the idea from Molly's little cousin Carla Ann. Now I understand why Carla was wearing water shoes....it was a little slippery and I ended up holding onto Molly the whole time which is why I don't know the best pictures from the fun. But, I did get some great pictures of her swinging afterwards.
It was a great day! I even had time to make a real dinner for me and Danny.

9 Months! Oh My!

Molly, Molly, Molly. You had your 9 month birthday this past Saturday. I can't believe it. We spent the day at the ranch where you enjoyed being with family and all the leaves. Seriously, this girl loves to eat leaves - oh and she likes to chase flies. Yep, that's my daughter.

(She very clearly did not want to stay still for pictures.)
• You are wearing 12 month clothing, size 3 diapers and size 3 in shoes.
• You have got all kinds of tricks these days: you dance when you hear music, you click your tongue, you waive bye-bye (when you want too), you give high 5’s, you pull up and walk around things and you are balancing on your own for about 5 seconds.
• You have 6 teeth. Two on the bottom and 4 on the top.
• You are starting to balance on your feet for a couple seconds without holding on to things and you are walking down the coach or around the coffee table.
• You are completely sleeping through the night now and have been for a couple of weeks. From 7:30pm – 7(ish)am.
• You still take 2 naps a day. Morning nap is usually 45min – 1.5 hours and afternoon nap around 1pm and it is usually 2 hours.
• Likes: music, dogs, being outside, butternut squash, the toy where you put shapes in the correct holes (you like pushing them in), standing up, playing peek-a-boo, jumping before bed, walks, bike rides and of course your lovie. You get so excited when you see it and once you have it you cuddle, cuddle, cuddle.
• Dislikes: putting on your pjs, being still enough to put on your diaper – as soon as that thing comes off you are outta there! You have started to realize when something gets taken away and you don’t like it, especially if it was something you wanted to eat.
• You are getting smarter and smarter. It is so fun to watch the wheels turn. Like I said earlier when we take something away you know it is not gone now so you look and look for it. You are ALWAYS going after the dog bowl and we can pick you up and take you to the other room and you will go right back to the dog bowl without stopping. You will do that at least 4-5 times before giving it up. When you are standing up you soooo want to walk. You try and find other objects that you can grab ahold of so you have go from one piece of furniture to another without getting on the ground.
• You are a good eater. I was worried I wasn’t going to be able to say that but you are a great eater now. You like most things, minus peas. You have started eating some solid foods. We are giving you puffs and yogurt puffs. Daddy is so scared every time you eat one because the first time you choked a little but now you are so good at eating like a big girl. I am gonna have to start cooking before you go to bed so you can eat more big girl food.

(We are not above bribing her to sit still for more than 2 seconds. A little baby puff does the trick.)

We went to Dr. D today for her check up and she came away with an A+. Below are her 9 month stats. Her last visit was at 6 months.
Height - 28.5 inches (81.22%). You have grown 1.5 inches
Weight - 20lbs 15.5oz (83.91%). You have gained 2lbs
Head circumference - 17.76 inches (80.77%). Your head grew 0.52 inches.
Molly Grace, you amaze me everyday. I thank God everyday that I can call you my daughter. You are one special girl. You are so funny, whether it is you randomly letting out a scream or whispering you are always doing something to crack and me daddy up. I love you my little chicken nugget.

Update in Pictures

What!?! I am not eating your necklace!

Happy 60th Birthday to my Mimzie

I think I am gonna need to wear this hat all the time.

Yes I did climb these stairs for the first time to get the tissue paper. You wouldn't do the same???
Peek-a-boo.
We have to leave the ranch now????!!!!!! (said super sarcastically because I am sure that is how she will say this in the future.....I can hear it now)
I am such a big girl!!!!!!! I am drinking out of a sippy cup. (let's be honest I know that is not what you noticed when looking at this picture. You were just taking in my chunky thighs)
OK fine, here is another picture of my curvy legs.
Must.get.the.leaves.
I love me some blueberries and apples
Here dad, let me fix that for you.
OK - ready to go for my ride
Just me and mommy hangin out
Dad doesn't like this picture. He tells mommy something about teaching me to early....I don't know what he is talking about.
Good morning. Excuse the messy hair, my parents need to brush it. I have already told them, no more pictures without my hair did.
It's family bike time. I might look a little scared in this picture but it was my first time. I can tell you that since then I think it is the best thing since sliced bread.
