Yes, It is True

Homegirl is crawling. I guess I put that so nonchalantly in a previous post and I got an email from my friend saying "WHAT??!! she is crawling". So I thought I would do a post about it because, well, it is a big milestone. She started becoming mobile about 2 weeks ago, pretty much right when she turned 6 months. Now, we aren't entering any crawling contests or anything but she is definitely picking up some speed. Before we know it she will be out of site within seconds. We really need to get on this baby proofing thing cause she is interested in everything BUT her toys!

Another Sick Day

Well, I don't know what it is but Molly got sick again. She was totally fine today but yesterday was not so good. She ran a fever which is why I couldn't take her to school today. But, it was fun to get to stay home with her. Here is a little bit of what we did in picutres. When you get to the video turn up your speakers! It is the hardest we have ever heard her laugh and I loved every second of it! Thank goodness for iphones so I could record it. :)

So this is what I stand on when I am in my exersaucer
Lemme go check it out

Big mistake! I can't get out. MOM!

I am showing mommy how I am going to be one of the Olympic Fab 5 one of these days. Go USA!

I learned how to crawl and carry something. Man I am good!

Why can't I get out!!!!!! I don't like being stuck in here!

Daddy was crakin me up when he got home!

Pearly Whites

Molly has two of them. Her front bottom teeth are poking through. You can only see them when she smiles really big or bites kisses you. She hasn't been fussy or anything which I was fully expecting but this little baby just keeps impressing me.

In other news, we tried bananas today and it was another no go. She gagged when I fed it to her on the spoon so I let her get it with her hands and put it in her mouth and she still didn't like it but she had fun playing in it!

Houdini or Genius?

Well, I think both but this morning she was a little houdini. She started out going to bed looking so cute in her Paul Frank pajamas.

And when we got her out of the crib.....this is what we found.

How did she do that??? We have tried to get her to do it again all morning but no luck. She is going to keep her secrets to herself. This does not look good for the future....

Future Aggie?

I will let the video speak for itself.

First Food and First Sick Day

Let's just throw all of this in one post. Molly got to try her first food this weekend and it didn't work out so well. We started with peas on Friday and then did pears today. Peas did not get such a good reaction. I was sure that pears would but no, same awful reaction. She is not liking food so far. She gets it in her mouth makes a look of confusion and disgust and then the gagging begins and it goes down hill from there. Poor Molly. We will try again next weekend.

In other news, this afternoon she was so cranky which is so NOT like her. I was starting to freak out a little because it was just so abnormal for her to cry and I mean big tear cry for hours and then when we could finally calm her down she would sleep. We took her on a walk because I guess she liked the motion but once we got back from the walk I picked her up and then bam! She threw up all over me. I don't know how this little body of her could hold that much fluid but man I was covered. I am sure this is just the first of many times I will get that stuff all over me. I was just so sad for her. I couldn't handle her not feeling well. Good news is that once she did that it was night and day. She was back to her old self, laughing, smiling, talking and crawling around.

This is How I Wobble Wobble

She is soooooooo close.

First Day of School

Today was the day I was a hot mess (and for the record so was Danny). Danny was nice enough to accompany me in dropping Molly off this morning because I think he knew the mess that I would turn into. First of all, let me start off with Molly slept through the night (yay!). Well, woke up at 6am but that was close enough. She did go back to sleep until 7:30am but the point is our schedule was thrown off a little bit With the resiliency of babies it was just fine. We drove up to her school, I took a deep breathe before getting out of the car telling myself that I was the little train that could “I think I can, I think I can”. We walked in with a diaper bag, another bag with the items that are staying at the school, my purse, folders with papers I had to turn in and of course Molly. We definitely looked like the new kids. We walked in her room and her teacher was so excited to see Molly and Molly seemed equally excited because she put her arms out like “ok I will go play with you” and she looked at me like “what is the big deal mom”. I say my goodbye and turn to look at Danny and his face is all red and there are tears in his eyes. I was like what are you doing???? You are supposed to be supporting me but alas I guess it was just as emotional for him as it was for me. Then we said a couple more goodbyes in the window and left. I got in my car and let out my ugly cry cried just a little more. It was not a pretty site for all the passerbys. I got to work and only made one call to check on her to see how she was doing then I went to pick her up at 1pm. Yes, I took a half day, more for me than her because she needed me and when I got there she was fast asleep. So I went to grab lunch and when I came back she was happy as a clam and ready to play. Her teachers just went on and on with how good she was. She didn’t fuss at all and they couldn’t believe it. She took two short naps, played in the exersaucer and they said her favorite thing was sitting in front of the mirror where she laughed and laughed and laughed. Of course this was good news and made me happy so we took a short trip to Target to commemorate the day. Molly had other plans though, she decided that she needed to do her business on the way so I say ok, I will change her in the changing room. No big deal. Well we get in the room and I looked in my bag and all my diapers were gone! Luckily I hadn’t already opened the bomb that was awaiting me so I very gently picked her up and went to the diaper isle, grabbed a bag, went back to the room where I put on my hazmat suit and changed her diaper. After the clean up process was done we enjoyed a little shopping trip then came home, ate some cereal, played and talked about her day and then took a forever long nap. Oh and yes, I did buy the diapers in case you were wondering. All in all, I think it was a good day.

That flash is too bright!

Happy Half a Year Birthday Molly!

This past Friday the 13th was your 6 month birthday. Half a year old! Here are some of the things you have been up too.

• You are wearing size 3 diapers and size 6-9 month clothing.
• For the most part you are still taking 2 naps a day. The first one can be anywhere from 45 min – 1.5 hours and your afternoon nap is about 2 hours.
• You are a big girl and can sit up by yourself. You do still fall over but you can sit up for a little bit.
• You are a happy, happy baby! You have this thing where you stick your arms straight out, shake them and get so excited. You also have this laugh that you bust out at random times when no one is doing anything. It cracks me up!
• You are doing a little wobble, wobble which means you get on your hands and knees and go back and forth. You are so close to crawling and I am in denial.
• You LOVE your jump & go. You sit in that thing and just bounce and bounce and bounce. Even when you are done with it and start to get fussy you just keep bouncing – quite humorous.
• You are down to either waking up once a night or sleeping through the night. Woohoo!!!!! It makes mommy and daddy happy, happy, happy.
• We are starting food this month so watch out!
• You are drinking 4, 7oz bottles a day (sometimes 5 if you wake up in the middle of the night).
• We have been feeding you rice cereal once a day when we feel like it up until now. You totally have the hang of eating like a big girl which is why I can’t wait for you to start real food. You are gonna love it!
• You definitely notice when I leave the room and you are not a fan. You like to be social and you want people to be social with you.
• You have started saying syllables. You are just doing ta-ta-ta but it is a start.
• You have a little white tooth starting to poke through on your bottom gums.
• You are definitely becoming attached to your lovey. We can give it to you if you are fussy and you just curl up with it and comfort yourself.

Here are your stats from your 6 month check up (last check up was at 4 months):
Height - 27 inches (89%). You have grown 1.5 inches since your last visit.
Weight - 18lbs 14oz (93%). You have gained 3lbs 3oz since your last visit.
Head circumference - 17.24 inches (85%). Your head grew 0.7 inches.
Dr. D said you were doing really great and super healthy. I think you impressed her with your sitting up skills and that you get on your hands and knees and rock back and forth. She definately wasn't expecting that. You just seem to impress everyone my little girl.

Molly Grace Struzick, my little bambino. Oh how I love you. I have recently made a really big decision (which I will post about later) and I can’t wait! You are constantly changing and learning something new and I just can’t get over how smart you are, how social you are and well, everything about you amazes me. You are so fun to play with and watch. You are like the cool kid that everyone wants to be around. I can’t wait to see what you will do next but I also want you to stay just the way you are and freeze this time that I have with you as a baby. I love you more than you can imagine my little chicken.

Here are the infamous outtakes:
Put my legs up like this????
That is not a trick daddy, that is easy.
I think it is time for a bigger chair mom. I am clearly a big girl now.
Oh, was I not supposed to take off the sticker?!?
You expect me to just sit here....
I don't think so.
Did you need me?
Ok, then see you later.

We have graduated

From the car seat stroller where she eats her feet and has to stare at me during the whole walk.

To the big girl stroller where she can face out and see the world but don't worry in case she wants to gaze at me there is a peekaboo window at the top. :)

July 4th!

We celebrated July 4th for a couple days. It started Sunday morning when we attended Danny's annual fourth of July concert and man did people love Molly there. That was her first time to come to big church. She did pretty well, only had to leave twice. Once to eat and then again because she had so much to say. Here are some pics of the morning.
Daddy is going to play in front of all these people?!?
Hey! I know I am on the table but daddy said it was ok.

Monday I took off work to just relax, play with Molly and swim. She of course was sporting her red, white and blue again. And, check out the diaper people. We are ready for the Olympics.
Peekaboo, you found me....
I am just chillin, did you need something?
Happy Birthday America!
Mom, I just want to go swimming and you are always stalling to take pictures. Let's go!

Tuesday Aunt Nenna babysat Molly and it looks like they had a good time together.
I have worn a lot of red white and blue these past couple of days.
Oh no Aunt Nenna!
Hey Aunt Nenna you said you were gonna put that phone down!

And of course on Wednesday! Happy 4th of July.
I kinda like this American flag you guys were talking about.
All these pictures and I just wanna play with my feet.

Thanks Lolli, Mimzie and Granny for all the red, white and blue!
