So, it all started Thursday, January 12th at 3:30am. I started having contractions so, just to make sure I wasn't making them up, I started to count them. I decided they were real so I woke Danny up at 4am to let him know. He woke up right away, popped out of bed and said ok lets get ready. I said hold the phone we don't go to the hospital until I have a contraction every five minutes, lasting one minute for an hour. We had a ways to go. Mine were kinda random but the average contraction was spaced out every 7 minutes. So around 2pm we decided that it was painful enough and they were close together and to be honest we were ready to get this show on the road. Well...Molly had other plans. We arrived at the hospital with a million bags - you would have thought we were moving in - went into triage and the nurse checked everything out. She said I was still 1cm and it looked like I was in early labor. She went to go call my doctor to see what she wanted to do. Dr. D finally came over and said it might be best if I went home if I was ok with laboring at home. I said yes because it is about 7pm now and I am starving and if i checked in i would get nothing but ice chips. She said ok and that I will probably be back later tonight to check in. So i was expecting to leave right then but the check out process took FOREVER! By 10pm we are still there and my doc comes back to tell me we can leave and she watches me have a couple contractions and says, maybe you should stay here. It looked like I was in too much pain to go home and if I stayed they could monitor the baby. So, I finally checked into the hospital. Once checked in we called our family and let them know. Right away they put in an IV which was way painful, I cried like a baby and asked for my mommy. You are never to old to ask for your mom - right?!? Since it appeared that I was going to be in labor for the long haul my family came up and waited with me. I tried the jacuzzi tub to see if that would work and help with labor, it helped for about 3 hours and then I was done with that and just stayed in the bed the rest of the time. They were able to give me some drowsy medicine so I could get some sleep or at least try between every contraction.
Finally, around 9am they next day, they came back to check on me and I was 4cm dilated. Woohoo!!!! It was actually going to start happening!!! Thank goodness cause I needed a change at this point, I was over having a contraction every 5-7 minutes. Everything was pretty quick from then on. Around 11am I got the dreaded epidural and it was the best thing EVER! I was so scared about it and it was the easiest thing. Way easier than the IV that I got in my arm. Best thing ever! Around 1pm I started “practice pushing” with the nurse. Apparently there is a special way to push so you have to practice before the doctor gets there. The doc came in around 2pm and I started really pushing, even though I was doing the exact same thing. They started looking at the monitors and saw that I was getting a fever of 100.3 and Molly’s heart rate was over 200bpm so the doctor said they needed to hurry and get her out. They called in a neonatal team just in case Molly needed them, I kept pushing and 28 minutes later she was born (2:28pm). I got to give her a little kiss and then she had to get checked out. Since they do everything in the same room with me I was able to watch everything and be in the know. About 5 minutes later they said she was great and handed her to a crying daddy. We were so in love. It couldn’t have been a better, more emotional moment for us as a little family of 3. It was the best day ever.
Our last picture as a family of 4.
Ready to get this show on the road
And she is here with her proud daddy

It is not a very pretty picture of me but I love it because it shows pure emotion
She had tons of visitors who couldn't wait to meet her

Now, there are so many more posts that I am working on – basically about how being a new mommy is the HARDEST thing I have ever done. In good news we did go to her 2 week check up today and she is doing great!
Height – when she was born she was 20 inches and now she is 21 inches (85th percentile)
Weight – when she was born she was 8lbs even and now she is 8lb 9.5 oz (70th percentile)
Here is another cute picture to end the post with. She was loving her bath time. :)
