Last day as a family of 3!

24 hours. Less than 24 hours, more like 12 hours until I meet these boys. It is a weird feeling to know the time and date this is going to happen. Totally different that with Molly but I guess everything about this pregnancy is different than my first. I can't believe this. I mean I am still in shock we are having twins! Today was Molly day. In some ways it is sad that she will no longer be my little only child. Sad but not sad because I know how much more fun and love she is going to have with siblings. We went to the park with some friends then Danny came home early so we could have a fun family evening as a family of 3. We had to keep it simple because I can't do much so we went to the mall, ate chick fil a, went on the merry go round then got strawberry ice cream with sprinkles. I mean the sprinkles made her year! It was a really fun time. All day we talked about how her brothers are coming tomorrow. Not sure she totally gets it but she does get excited when we talk about it.

Tomorrow is the day and the babies should be here around 7:45am-8am unless we get pushed back. Crazy! So many feelings are running through me. Right now I should be packing and showering but you know gotta get a blog in ;). I am so excited I feel like I might burst but I am also super nervous. Nervous because it is surgery. I know it is totally common but that doesn't make it easier for me. I mean there are a lot of needles involved. Yikes! I wonder what they look like.

On a side note: I can't believe that my body has carried these babies 38 weeks and 5 days (tomorrow) and the high risk doc thinks they are around 7-8lbs which is crazy talk to me. It will be very interesting to see what they really weigh.......soon enough.

37 weeks 3 days - full term with twins!

This was supposed to be posted yesterday.

I can't believe I am still pregnant! I thought for sure I would have had these babies by now. I am glad they are still cookin but wow being prego with multiples is no joke. I am not gonna lie, I am miserable. I have no idea how my body is still making room for 2 growing babies. It is quite amazing to think about but then kinda sad because my body of course will never be the same. So the sad part is for purely selfish reasons.
End of day roughness
Last week at my OB appt we scheduled my c-section date since A is still breech and I don't have a choice. It is set for Thursday, Jan 29 at 7:45am. Crazy! Crazy that I still have that much more time and crazy that I know their birthday.....kinda weird. But of course they could always decide their own birthday and come earlier. Funny story - so one of my friends/coworkers is prego with twins as well and is a week behind me. She had her date scheduled for Jan 29 for a while now because she knew from the beginning she was going to have a c-section. Of course we text daily about twin progress and we go to the same OB so I told her Dr. D wanted me to wait until 38 weeks and hers was scheduled during her 37 week. She had an appt later that day and I told her to ask why mine would be delivering later. Well, Dr. D said oh we need to move your appt so I got her slot on the 29 and she moved to Feb 3. Maybe that isn't funny to anyone else but I thought it was humorous. My babies took her babies birthday.

how far along? 37 weeks 3 days
how are you measuring? As of today at the high risk doc I am measuring 47 weeks
size of baby?  Yeah.....this is the crazy amazing part. He couldn't get a good measurement because B's head was pushing into A's belly because B is transverse. So, B's feet are kicking A's head and he is curved around where his head is in A's belly.
babies up or down? For most of my pregnancy baby A has been head down and B has been down, breech and transverse but starting at 33 weeks A is breech and B is head down which means c-section. A has to be head down for natural birth which is what I was hoping for but at this point I don't care I just want them out. heartbeat? Good. I don't remember the numbers.
total weight gain/loss? I don't even know or want to know at this point.
maternity clothes? Black leggings and black long sleeve shirt is what is on the agenda everyday - over and over again.
stretch marks? So depressing.
sleep? Surprisingly this has gotten a little better. Going from 4 hours was a good night to now maybe 5 is good. Progress? Turning over in bed at this point is nearly impossible. The weight of my belly is crazy. It is about a 10 minute process to turn over and usually involves me grabbing to anything to help me turn including a sleeping husband.
best moment this week? Ever since Molly got to feel the hiccups she asks every night to feel them so she definitely remembers. But the best moment recently is Molly turning 3 and completely understanding that she is 3.
movement? Oh yeah and for some reason baby b LOVES to snuggle with a because they are always move on the left side of my belly - it is always lopsided. I will also say that throughout this pregnancy baby a is the crazy active one and b seems to be a bit more chill maybe because he just likes the cuddling so much. :) It will be interesting to see if A has the wilder personality since that it how it has been in the womb.
food cravings? Of course this is still all the things I can't have with diabetes but i have told everyone that after delivery I would like that chick fil a peppermint shake :)
gender predictions? still have 2 identical boys in there.
what i miss? sleep of course and not having all these crazy pains but as weird as it sounds being able to suck in my belly. I want to give my skin some relief and of course there is no sucking in this protrusion.
what I'm looking forward to? Seeing just how identical these boys will be. So far with their identicalness they have surprised the high risk doc so it will be interesting to see what they are like in person.
how are you feeling? I think I am expressed enough of how I feel ;) This to shall pass and I am sure one day.....a long long time from now I might miss this. Might being the key word.
SHOUTOUT: I need to brag for a second on my hubs. He has been pretty amazing with this whole pregnancy. He has gone above and beyond in helping out with Molly, house stuff, grocery shopping and everything else. All things that we shared or I handled he now handles. I appreciate him in a whole new way. Thank you DG.
37 weeks and still lookin rosie
Let's just go ahead and throw in 40 weeks with Molly. I couldn't even imagine these clothes fitting me right now.

2.5 years old
Molly Grace. You are three. I am not sure how I feel about it. While I am so excited to continue to see you grow up I can't help but be a little sad that you are no longer my little baby. You are a little girl, a young lady if you will. Your personality is contagious. You are a leader by nature for sure. You make people smile wherever we go with your outgoing go get'em attitude. Although sometimes you decide to be shy and wrap around my leg but that usually doesn't last very long. You are a burst of energy all the time (except when you wake up - that takes a little time - you take after me in that way). You love learning new things and are very much in the stage where you want to do everything yourself. You are a big girl! You crack me up on a daily basis with the things you say. Like the other day when you asked me if I would "freak out if you didn't take a nap with me". You are quite the comedian. You are very much a little momma and love everything princess. Seriously LOVE princess things. You always need to be in a princess dress (by this I mean it just needs to be able to twirl). The two dresses that you wear 24/7 are solid pink and purple dresses that don't have princesses on them but they have a little tool at the bottom so they twirl - which is all that matters. Oh you also LOVE your jammies, dress jammies which you have shortened to jams. Goose, I love you to the moon and back and then some. I can't wait to see you take on your new role as a big sister. You are going to be amazing. But do know that I will always treasure your only child years.
3 years old!
Since we had your birthday party back in December because we didn't know if your little brothers would make thier debut before your birthday we didn't do too much. Although, I did try and make it fun for you. We woke up and daddy got pink sprinkle donuts for you and everybody called and sang happy birthday which put a HUGE smile on your face everytime you heard it. After that we met some friends at Happy Playland, came home and took a nap then woke up and met family at Chucky Cheese! You loved it and I think you had a great day.

35 weeks with twins

I have made it to 35 weeks. I can't believe it but I still can't believe I am having twins so maybe my opinion is a little off.
I look so much more exhausted in this pic than I do in the pic with M below :)
how far along? 35 weeks 3 days
how are you measuring? Last week when I was at my OBs office i measured 44 weeks and yesterday at the high risk doc I measured 42 weeks so I guess it all just depends how the babies are laying.
size of baby?  I went yesterday to the high risk doc and they are both measuring 6lbs 8 oz!!!!! Yeah, you read that correctly. They are huge and I have 2 weeks left until they are considered full term so I can't imagine what their true weight will be - kinda scares me.
babies up or down? For most of my pregnancy baby A has been head down and B has been down, breach and transverse but starting at 33 weeks A is breach and B is head down which means c-section. A has to be head down for natural birth which is what I was hoping for but at this point I don't care I just want them out. heartbeat? I don't remember what the heartbeats were yesterday but when I go they always seem to be in the 140-150s.
total weight gain/loss? I don't even know at this point.
maternity clothes? Yeah.....I am literally wearing the same thing everyday.
stretch marks? So depressing.
sleep? No sleep at all. I wake up probably 5-8 times a night to go to the bathroom and in between those times I wake up because my hips or calves are spaseming. And I am not going to bed until after midnight because I can't fall asleep so if I get 4 hours at night it is a good night.
best moment this week? M got to feel baby b's hiccups. It was so cute. Every night she feels my belly and talks to the boys and she says she feels them but they have never kicked then one day when we were watch Curious George B had hiccups and i grabbed her hand put it on my belly and she really felt it and I watched her eyes light up and freak out as she realized there really are babies in there. Such a sweet moment for me.
movement? Yes. Lately I have called them my alien babies because they stick elbows or feet or knees out and literally make my belly stick straight out like they are going to come out of my skin. It is kinda creepy.
food cravings? All I want is a chick-fil-a peppermint shake but I can't have it :( Diabetes stinks!
gender predictions? still have 2 identical boys in there.
what i miss? I am gonna go with sleep on this one.
what I'm looking forward to? Meeting these boys. I am pretty much done being prego.
how are you feeling? HUGE and uncomfortable. I recently started getting carpul tunnel in my hands. It makes my joints and fingers hurt and are super stiff. At night they get all tingly and start going numb. Suoer weird feeling.
Me with Molly at 36 weeks - i didn't take a pic at 35 weeks - so much smaller!!!!!

December Happenings

Because I am so behind on posting I am lumping everything together just to make sure I document it - sorry about that. So December, Molly had her Christmas show at her school and of course did a great job. Her class sang two songs so she was on stage all of 45 seconds but you gotta be proud right! They sang Jesus Loves Me and The B-I-B-L-E. They were meant to do the sign language to Jesus Loves Me and she nailed the finger on the palm of your hand move for Jesus.
See...fantastic with the Jesus sign.
This is the "cheeeeese" face

Next, we decided to take her to Santa's Wonderland in College Station on a random work evening. It was great! She LOVED the idea of seeing Santa but as previous years have proved she is not the biggest fan when it comes to sitting on his lap. She wanted to stand in line for 30 minutes and looked in the window and was really excited but as soon as we turned the corner to commit the tears came rolling down. Of course I turn to the photographer and tell her she better get good pics and Danny plops her in Santa's lap with a look of terror on her face. It was great! As soon as Danny swoped in and picked her up she was fine and still got a peppermint so she was even more fine - not scared at all. ;) The rest of Santa's Wonderland was great. They had fake snow falling which she just twirlled in and loved then there was a petting zoo which she loved from daddy's arms and finally the hayride through the millions of lights. Her favorite were the different tunnels that we drove through. It was fun and we would definately do it again - not sure about next year though since we will have our hands a little full.....
This was the level of her excitement the entire night.

On the hayride checking out the lights.
And our fantastic Santa pic! Third year to go strong with the crying. P.S. did anyone elses kid ask for cookies from Santa....that is all she said she wanted this year.
A couple days later we had the Christmas event at our church. They have camel and donkey rides, dress up, a mini live nativity (goats, sheep and a family dressed as Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus), music, snacks and crafts. M's favorite part was that her friend Liam was there, she rode a camel and the highlight was holding the baby goat.
Liam and Molly
Thanks Candace for taking my daughter on a camel :)
Donkey ride. For some reason she was a little nervous on the donkey but not on the camel???
Dress up lasted for all of 2 seconds - enough for a picture.
And the most thrilling part along with the wassel mustache.
Then there was Christmas. A very important day that was filled with the celebration of Jesus and family time. This year Christmas was a 3 day event for us. On the actual day we started out at our house where Molly opened all of her 3 presents (one being unwrapped because Santa put it together the night before). Before you feel bad for her that she only got 3 presents realize that she has a lot of love from both sides of the family and she did NOT lack in presents this year. Apparently she was a very good girl. After we ate our fill of breakfast casserole and banana muffins we headed to my parents house. Once there we ate another round of breakfast then read Luke 2 and opened presents again. The big gift was the Big Wheel. Oh man.....M still wants to ride that thing everyday all day.
Here was our Christmas card this year.
Santa came!
Christmas morning pic. Side note: I had to beg her to wear Christmas jammies the night before and not a princess dress and these were the best I could do. I mean they have santa on them but my vision was the cute red and white pjs with her name on them......guess I gotta let go. ;)
Remembering the reason for the season.
Had to get in some cuddles after opening a super soft blanket.
A new blanket and a frozen chair.....what?!?
What's in here?
A BIKE!!!
And this is what we have been doing the past couple of days.
The next day we woke up and had Danny's family over for another great Christmas. Lots of family fun was had. The one thing we didn't do which is a Struzick tradition was to have a little wrapping paper fight with all the left over wrapping paper rolls.
Because we are all still kids we had to go upstairs and wait then come back down to see if Santa came again. Can you feel our anticipation. ;)
Puppy suprise - did anyone else have these as a little girl? I very much remember having mine and of course M loves the little babies.
Danny modeling the latest trend in frozen earrings.
The moment she realized she has a braid in her hair just like Elsa! Priceless.
Family pic.
Because we can be a little goofy.
Driving cars and riding bikes is what we did for afternoon entertainment.

Day 3 of Christmas ended at my Grandma's house where we had my mom's extended family. Lots of kids and good times. All the kiddos played great and the adults had a good time doing the Chinese gift exchange which is basically white elephant except with good gifts. I ended up with a super plush blanket and a good candle. All of us forgot to take pics and the two that I did take were pretty sad.

3 peas in a pod
Of course as soon as we pulled out of the driveway M was out.
