TIme Out Kid

Yeah....so I got a little story for ya ags. Once there was a girl named.....what rhymes with Molly......Polly, yeah, we will go with Polly. So, Polly is a cute little 19 month old girl who has a lot of personality. Well, one day she was building a block tower with her mommy and she hit her mommy in the face with the block. Her mommy grabed gently took her hand and told her that we don't hit. Explaining that hitting is not nice. So then Polly hit her again and again mommy took her hand and repeated that we don't hit, that it hurts people and if she does it again she will go into time out. Two seconds later, Molly, I mean Polly hit her mommy again and so it was time for time out. Her mommy took her to a wall, made her face it and put her hands on the wall. At first it was no big deal but then 15 seconds later when she wanted to go play with her toys and mommy wouldn't let her hands off the wall the melt down began. Finally after 30 seconds on the wall the mean mommy walked away and let Polly fall to the floor and cry in a dramatic fashion, she wouldn't do it any other way. This little girl is a bit dramatic if you know what I mean. After calming down a bit the mommy called her over and explained why we don't hit people and if we do we go into time out. Three seconds after that the world was right again and Polly happy as could be pushing baby around in her stroller. About 15 minutes later, after everything was forgotten, or so mommy thought, Polly decided to walk up to her mommy, hit her in the face, then walk over to the wall and put her hands on it, turn around, look at her mommy and say "time out", "time out". On the bright side she is learning cause and effect.......

Don't let this sweet face fool you.

I have a feeling this disciplining thing is gonna be a bit challenging for her momma.
